The 16th meeting of the Norwegian Scotch Malt Whisky Society was held at the abode of Mrs & Mr Finn Haldorsen on Friday 25 February 2000.

Whisky of the Night was 15 year old Glendronach (40%) distilled in Sherry Casks.

The meet was carried out in the traditional way of the whiskey society with no drama other than that members who foolishly left their wallets downstairs were robbed at some point during the meeting. Personally I believe Mr. Jaunsen is to be blamed since he over a period distracted the party with the finer points of salsa dancing in such a load manner that anybody could sneak in downstairs and rob us blind. Mr F. Haldorsen held an interesting "kåseri" on the subject of peat and the drying of Barley to become malt.
